In 1995, John Berryhill, cooked his first strip of Berryhill Bacon. It started at our family table — a simple love for great food and gathering people together. Today, every strip of Berryhill Bacon is still handcrafted in Boise, Idaho, by our family and team who carry on that same tradition. Bacon for Hope: Our non-profit, Bacon for Hope, helps support the Hope House; a home for kids from failed adoptions. Since 2019, we've helped build a new basketball court, renovate the track and field, and donate thousands of dollars towards staffing initiatives and student scholarships.

Is it like jerky? No. Berryhill Bacon is not a jerky product. Jerky is dehydrated and dried it, leaving little moisture. Berryhill Bacon is meaty, juicy and crispy.

Is this like normal pre-cooked bacon? No. Pre-cooked bacon is prepared in bulk on large industrial machinery, delivering a wiggly and bland product. Berryhill Bacon is cooked in small batches to deliver an in-restaurant bacon experience.

How long does it take to ship? Orders are processed 1-2 days after they're placed and shipping is 2-6 days depending on destination. We have priority shipping options if your order is time sensitive.

Do I have to refrigerate it? No. Berryhill Bacon can be kept at room-temp, though based on preference, it can be stored in the refrigerator.

What's the shelf-life? 60 days, unrefrigerated. This is our recommendation both for food safety and best quality.

How do I prepare it? You can eat it right from the bag or choose to warm it up quickly in the microwave or on the stove top. For warming, we say "just melt the fat, it's as easy as that."

Berryhill Bacon is a fresh food product and we do not accept returns. However, we will always make sure you are served and happy. Order got lost? New order shipped. Sent the wrong bacons? Right order sent right away. Dog ate your bacon? Well, that's your dog's fault, but we want you to get your bacon... so we will send a new order. Whatever happens, we will make it right for you, our Hogs.
