Shelf Life & Storage
Shelf Life (Unopened): 30 days, unrefrigerated.
Refrigeration: For best quality and flavor, we recommend refrigerating after purchase — though it’s not required for safety.
Extended Storage: Bacon remains safe to eat for up to 60 days, but we suggest enjoying within 30 days for the perfect crisp and flavor balance.
Freezing: You can freeze Berryhill Bacon to extend the shelf-life, but for maximum freshness and quality, we recommend storing it at room-temp or in a refrigerator.
After Opening: Our resealable pouch protects freshness. Opening the package does not shorten the shelf-life recommendation if properly sealed and stored in a cool, dry place.
Heating & Serving Instructions
Berryhill Bacon is fully cooked and ready to eat straight from the bag.
Eat Cold: Perfect for charcuterie boards, sandwiches, or quick protein snacks.
Warm Up (Optional):
-Microwave: 5–10 seconds per slice.
-Oven: 350°F for 3–5 minutes on a sheet pan.
-Skillet or Pan: Low heat for 30–60 seconds per side.
Pro tip: You don’t need to cook it — just warm to your preferred texture and enjoy.

Curing & Nitrites
Our bacon is crafted from premium pork belly, cured and seasoned to bring out a deep flavor without overpowering smoke, salt or additives.
We use a traditional curing process that includes sodium nitrite, which is a standard and USDA-approved curing agent that ensures safety, flavor, and color.
Berryhill Bacon is traditionally cured—and we’re transparent about it.
"Uncured” bacon relies on natural nitrite sources producing the same preservation effects, flavor development, and finished compounds as conventionally cured bacon.
